What is the SFL?
We are a Fbpro 98 league that plays "old school" head to head league games.  We are not a VPNFL league, but generate our own player ratings based on yearly NFL player statistics.  We actually show up at each others homes, drink the home teams beer and hit the gridiron!  We've been in existence since 1987 when we began playing XOR's Football Challenge and quickly migrated to Sierra's series of Fbpro.  We have no mission statement other than to have fun!

Please enjoy this site.  New plays and game plans will be posted on the Plays/Plans page, many of these are not VPNFL plays and some may be considered IA busters and deemed illegal for those Fbpro leagues that are still active.

New Playoff Format!
The league voted at our April 28, 2008 Meeting to pilot a new playoff format whereby all games are hosted during one day.  We will have several computers up and running at the Bunker and two playoff games going at the same time.....all the way up to the Superbowl.  Plan accordingly if you make the playoffs.

NEWS FLASH! SFL Offsite at the Bunker!!
Look for our offseason meeting happening Sunday, Sept. 18th at the Bunker.  SFL Coaches are encouraged to bring a food item or beverage.  We will discuss illegal plays and some league issues while watching NFL games.

 Coaches Corner (1/26/09)

The SFL welcomes Coach Santos to the SFL.  He takes over the most succesful franchise in SFL history, the Patriots, and promptly moves the team to Seattle.  Word on the street is that the Seahawks will make some noise this year.

Thanks to all of the coaches who helped out on punching in player stats.  We couldn't have done it without your help.

If you have any proposed rule changes, please bring them to our next offseason meeting.  You can find our current play design rules here SFL Rules .
